The Millennium Development Goals have been embraced by the Episcopal Church at the past three General Conventions, culminating in 2006 when the church made supporting the MDGs its No. 1 mission priority. -- a recognition that living the Gospel requires an active global partnership to end extreme poverty.
The Stations of the Millennium Development Goals appear here courtesy of Evelyn Piety of Episcopalians for Global Reconciliation in the Diocese of West Tennessee and St. Mary's Cathedral in Mempis, Tennessee. Evelyn created the concept of MDG stations for the cathedral's 2007 Lenten season. Each station built on work by four Sudanese artists who'd illustrated some of the MDGs. The artwork was then paired with text, including prayers.
